Mark Five: 35™ Video Showcase

Here's a first look & listen to the new Mark Five: 35™. Here we showcase four fantastic videos that'll give you a great look at the features found on this gem of an amp, let you get a listen to how super it sounds Clean, rips in a Rock style and devastates when dialed for Metal. These are but a few of the tones you can get from the Mark Five: 35. As with any Mark Series amp, they're extremely versatile and inspiring to play.

Mark Five: 35™ New Features Overview

The MARK FIVE: 35™ represents the next step in Mark Series Tone as well as the addition of mini-Mark TONE in a 1x12 Boogie combo format! Mesa’s time-proven four EL-84 based Dyna-Watt power section delivers 100% gig-able Clean headroom and additional punch in High Gain sounds while adding width and bigger-iron mojo to the 10 & 25 watt settings.

The same great modes, features, layout and Tones that make the Mark Five: 25™ one of Mesa’s most popular amps are all here but the 35 offers a power upgrade and some new features. To further bolster the new MARK FIVE: 35's stage-ready resume, we’ve added a Channel Independent SOLO Feature, a long-spring tank for the all-tube Reverb, the complete set of Voicing Choices from our CABCLONE™ with the addition of the VINTAGE setting to its on-board DI Output and an upgraded Footswitch for access to the new footswitchable choices. This new blend of perfect clip-ablity on-demand & exciting dynamic headroom when you need it creates the most adaptable MARK amplifier yet!

MESA/Boogie® Mark Five: 35™ CLEAN & SOLO Playthrough

Sparkling, pristine Clean sounds and searing, sustaining lead sounds are just two things MESA Mark series amps are well known for. The Mark Five: 35™ delivers this and more, and now offers the original 1x12 Boogie combo format to the portable Mark Series lineup.

The 35 watt mode delivers 100% giggable clean headroom and additional punch in high gain sounds while adding width and bigger-iron mojo to the 10 & 25 watt settings. The Mark IIC+ and Mark IV modes provide the expressive and singing classic Boogie lead sounds popularized by the original Mark I and the many great Mark series amps since. While obviously great for single note work, Channel Two in the Mark Five: 35 offers the same accurate, articulate and punchy high gain for rock and metal sounds as well, particularly with the five-band Graphic EQ engaged.

No matter your style, the Mark Five: 35 provides clarity, detail and real-world power in a compact format, built on a 45 year legacy of Mark Series TONE.

Recorded with a Mark Five: 35 1x12 Combo with a Custom Celestion 90 watt Speaker. Mic’d with a Shure KSM 313.

Mark Five: 35™ ROCK Playthrough

Accurate, punchy & detailed high gain sounds are one of the mainstays of Mesa’s iconic Mark Series amps and tones. The Mark Five: 35™ stays true to the 45 year legacy of Mark Series excellence, offering the same great modes, features, layout and Tones as the Mark Five: 25™ with a power upgrade and some new features and formats.

The Mark Five: 35 is also no one-trick pony. The clean modes deliver an incredible array of sparkling, pristine cleans while also being capable of authentic clipped and overdriven roots and Blues sounds with higher gain settings. And don’t underestimate the raw, classic rock potential of the Crunch mode in Channel One - equally versatile for vintage or modern rock rhythm & solo sounds, with or without the Graphic EQ.

This playthrough represents the versatility of the Mark Five: 25 well. Mighty Modern Gain via Channel One’s CRUNCH Mode. Thick, crisp Single note solo tones in Channel Two’s Mark IV Mode. Stinging, yet smooth overdrive solo tones with a Strat in Channel Two’s Mark IIC+ mode. Sparkling clean that plays nice with pedals in Channel One FAT. The possibilities and options are endless.

Mark Five: 35™ METAL Playthrough

Modern Metal sounds are defined largely by a few well known amps… and one of the all time greats (and often a secret weapon) employed by those who know is Mesa’s Mark Series. The Mark Five: 35™ carries on the tradition for outstanding High Gain for Rock, Alternative and Metal sounds with added power in a compact, portable format.

Iconic modes like MARK IIC+, MARK IV and XTREME in Channel Two deliver world-class high gain tone while the Five-Band Graphic EQ provides pinpoint control over frequencies, punch and tightness. And not to be missed, the CRUNCH Mode in Chanel One deliverers its own version of ROCK and Metal, with or without the EQ.

The detail, clarity and accuracy of Mesa Mark Series Gain modes is perfect for today’s high gain applications and extended range guitars, and the Mark Five: 35 delivers 100% gig-able punch, power and headroom for both clean and gain applications.

Local Northern Bay Area shredders Shaun ‘Riptown’ Condon and Aaron Levesque from the band Autonomist showcase the huge and accurate potential of the Mark Five: 35 in this shortened version of their song “Adytum”.
