Which MESA/Boogie Mark Series Amplifier is for you?

This can be a tough question to answer because they're all really fantastic. Those amplifiers now bearing the Mark Series name (Mark Five™, Mark Five: 25™ and Mark Five: 35™) along with the new JP-2C™ offer those essential features and tones that make their predecessors so well loved but combine these with modern design elements attractive to today’s guitarists. Mark Series amps have carved their own place in the history of legendary amplifiers and no collection is complete without at least one. So, which is the one for you?

Mark Series Heritage

It’s now been 45 years since a 1x12 Boogie® Combo first hit the stage, introducing guitarists to cascading gain and becoming the founding member of the Mark Series family of designs. It was a desire to take amplification to a new level and meet the needs of cutting edge Artists that drove Randall Smith, MESA’s Founder and Chief Designer, to translate the tones heard in his head to electrical circuits and pioneer such innovative ideas as Dual Mode Channel Switching amplifiers, on board Graphic Equalizers, Effects Loops, Simul-Class™ power and Tweed & Spongy Power - Mains Voltage Reduction. Throughout the evolution of the Mark Series line, these amplifiers have been renowned for tone, quality and versatility. They've inspired some of the best known guitarists from all genres and generations, such as Carlos Santana, Keith Richards, Pete Townshend, Jerry Garcia, Al DiMeola, Brad Gillis James Hetfield, Kirk Hammett, John Petrucci, Mark Morton, Willie Adler and Ben Weinman. The list of Artists associated with these amps is lengthy but more important is that any guitarist can enjoy the same satisfaction from playing these amps and throughout the evolution of the Mark Series designs, great tone in a remarkably built, versatile package is still what you find with each amplifier.
